Nippon Paint first established its presence in London, United Kingdom since 1989 to support our Japanese OEMs business in Europe. In 1995, we set-up our first manufacturing site in Swindon, United Kingdom to improve our supply chain to key customers such as Honda, Nissan and Toyota. Nippon Paint Group further expanded its automotive coating business in Europe through the cooperation with the Bollig & Kemper Group, which became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nippon Paint Holdings in 2016. On April 1, 2021, we officially transfer our NPAC European Business Headquarters from United Kingdom to Cologne, Germany. The names of the Nippon Paint Group’s automotive coatings business companies in Europe were also changed to names that begin with “Nippon Paint Automotive” in order to further strengthen coordination and cooperation in the automotive coatings business in Europe. There are currently 5 manufacturing sites, strategically located in Germany, France, United Kingdom, Turkey and Czech Republic that enables Nippon Paint to support all the major Automotive OEM customers in Europe.
