It was created as one of the first non-sectarian (not affiliated with religion) organizations, and the first sorority founded at a post undergraduate, professional campus. Currently there are over 67,000 initiated members worldwide with collegiate and alumnae chapters throughout the United States and Canada. The Zeta Epsilon chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon was installed at Carleton University on April 5, 2016.
