Central and North West Queensland Medicare Local (CNWQML) is an independent, locally operated organisation, working to create healthy communities in the inland parts of Queensland. Central and North West Queensland Medicare Local operates in some of the remotest parts of Queensland and is one of 61 nation-wide networks of Medicare Locals, established as part of the Australian Government’s National Health Reform. Medicare Locals are primary health care organisations established to coordinate primary health care delivery and tackle local health care needs and service gaps.
