Central Kentucky Educational Cooperative (CKEC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a 25-year track record of providing professional development support services throughout the region. The mission of CKEC is to ensure growth, learning, and resiliency of all students by providing a network of resources, support, and advocacy to maximize innovative, courageous leadership in member districts. CKEC assists districts in analyzing educational problems in a data-driven manner and devising research-based best-practice solutions to achieve desirable educational results. Highlights of CKEC services include curriculum and instruction, special education programming, positive behavior, mental health, outreach of Kentucky School for the Blind and Kentucky School for the Deaf, and food service and bidding. Approaches to these services include job-embedded coaching, co-teaching with content specialists, professional learning that is cost-free, and networking with other professionals.
