LDOT Consultants was founded by Debbie who is an independent OT, she specialises and practises within learning disabilities clinically. Debbie and her team of OT associates have in-depth knowledge and experience practising in both health and social care environments in supporting the Learning Disabled population. After many years of developing and practising their expertise within the NHS and local authority learning disability services. As Occupational Therapists specialising within the field of learning disabilities, they know how complex it can be to access the right support at the right time. Their aim is to ensure that those with learning disabilities live a fulfilling life, whilst optimising a person’s health and well-being through meaningful and purposeful occupations. From being able to be supported effectively in their own home, catch a bus to go to work or ensuring that the correct equipment is prescribed and being utilised safely. In addition to their OT expertise, LDOT Consultants are Secretary of State Approved Best Interest Assessor’s for Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) and Specialist Advisor’s to the Care Quality Commission (CQC). LDOT Consultants are a specialist service for individuals who have a cognitive impairment. Black Country Sensory Integration Therapy Services are also a sister Company. Debbie Bissell is the founding Occupational Therapist, there are associate specialist OT’s who provide support with referrals for assessment and treatment. They are HCPC registered Occupational Therapist’s (OT) providing Occupational Therapy services and Sensory Integration Assessment & Treatment. They offer consultancy to local authorities, health teams & care providers. Our service extends to professional support to Education providers, Day Services, supported living, Nursing Homes, Residential Home Service Providers and Social Care Teams.
