The current organization is a result from a merge that took place in 2000 of two different organizations; Merrimack Valley AIDS Project (Est. 1995) and New Hampshire AIDS Foundation, later to be known as Greater Manchester AIDS Project (GMAP) (Est. 1986). MVAP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and state-licensed case management agency, providing case management, supportive services, housing assistance, and referrals to persons living with HIV/AIDS. Today, MVAP is the largest HIV/AIDS Service Organization in New Hampshire.
