Atelier Z+Z is a Helsinki-based design practice focusing on landscape architecture, urban design, and planning. It was founded in 2019 by Aliaksei Zanouski and Veranika Zanouskaya as a small family atelier aiming for functional and accessible public spaces. Since then, Atelier Z+Z has collaborated with colleagues from Ukraine, Belarus, and Finland. In Atelier Z+Z, we promote multidisciplinary research and participatory design. We aspire to create sustainable spaces. Our small, close-knit team care for each project we work on. We flexibly approach each challenge on multiple scales, from GIS analysis to construction details. Our international network allows us to scale quickly and expand our expertise according to the task. We have delivered multiple high-quality projects that won prizes and were critically acclaimed throughout our history. However, more importantly, projects were well received by communities and became a scene for a sidewalk ballet we so admire. In short, Atelier Z+Z aim to create places where people feel they belong.
