The University of Illinois Men's Soccer Club is the premier soccer program on the Urbana-Champaign campus, as there is no NCAA D1 men's soccer program. The team trains and competes in the Midwest Alliance Soccer Conference (MASC) with the goals of playing in the conference tournament and NIRSA National Soccer Championships each fall. A professionally run program, the club trains and plays throughout the entire school year, and it has been historically successful as one of the best teams in the conference with several regular season conference championships and conference and national tournament appearances, including runs to the Final Four in 2015 and Elite Eight in 2017 and 2018. During the offseason, the team trains in the Irwin Indoor Football Facility and on the campus turf fields, while also playing in off-campus indoor men's leagues at Soccer Planet in Urbana and a shortened spring season consisting of several friendlies and a tournament. The program has given countless student-athletes the opportunities to play college soccer, be a part of something bigger than themselves, develop friendships, and learn lessons that will stick with them for the rest of their lives.
