Glorious is a nonprofit accelerator for social change. We help exceptional women entrepreneurs secure the economic runway they need to achieve big goals for their communities. Glorious was founded in 2010 to support Alice Matthew in her vision to build a top-quality school and boarding home through her organization, Glorious Orphans Care, in Arusha, Tanzania. After nearly 10 years we embarked on an entrepreneurial journey of our own. We partnered with a US-based global training corps to expand access to funding and awareness for grassroots communities. Along the way, we met Ingrid Villaseñor and Teopista Kwikiriza — women much like Alice. Their life stories have made us think bigger about a woman’s capacity to make the impossible, possible. Now we are redoubling our efforts to ensure these three mothers, entrepreneurs, and visionaries have the resources they need to create lasting change through their community-based organizations. Today, we provide funding, support, and training opportunities for these three game-changing women, their teams and organizations: Glorious Orphans Care in Arusha, Tanzania, Tejiendo Futuros in Panajachel, Guatemala and BIC/Suubi Health Center in Bodondo, Uganda.
