International Academic Program (IAP)
www.uam.esOperating in collaboration with the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies (DRCLAS) at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts and with the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) in Madrid, Spain, the International Academic Program (IAP) brings together professionals, professors and researchers from Latin America, Spain and other parts of the world, to exchange experiences and ideas. Through this academic initiative, IAP-UAM-DRCLAS creates opportunities for universities to keep their professors and researchers up to date in their respective fields. In addition to providing continuous formation, IAP-UAM-DRCLAS supports collaborative international research projects and Harvard-based-research and programs. The IAP-UAM-DRCLAS symposia and workshops provide relevant, current, and innovative insights into diverse topics taught by leading world-class professors from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Participants share knowledge, outline questions and formulate theories regarding the state of affairs in their areas of work, research, and teaching, always with a global emphasis and with the highest standards of excellence. Since 2005, 296 higher education institutions have participated from 38 countries. The main objectives of IAP-UAM are: • To provide individuals with high quality and inspiring academic experiences • To identify and work on research priorities and projects in global education • To identify and work on projects in priority areas within participating universities • Replicability: to promote projects that can be applied in different contexts and institutions • Dissemination: to disseminate research results and programs broadly • To identify and share innovative practices among top rated institutions Raquel Galindo Dorado Co-founder & Director, International Academic Program (IAP)
