Lawyer since 1995 and member of the Bar Associations of Lisbon and Brussels, where he is based since 2003, he works with a small team of independent lawyers in various areas of Portuguese, Belgian and European law, mostly with a cross-border dimension. A law graduate from the University of Coimbra, Rui Faria da Cunha completed post-graduate studies at the European Institute of Public Administration in Maastricht, the College of Europe in Bruges, the King's College in London, the Institut Universitaire International in Luxembourg and the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management in Brussels. Besides being a lawyer, Rui Faria da Cunha is the President of the Belgian-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and a board member of SEAP - Society of European Affairs Professionals. In addition to his native Portuguese, Rui Faria da Cunha is fluent in English and French, has a strong command of Spanish and basic notions of Chinese Man.
