The main mission entrusted to the CTTP is the technical control of conformity in terms of design and construction of public works works, the concern of which is to ensure the stability and durability of these works, with a view to reducing the risk of damage in the material and to contribute to the prevention of the various technical hazards likely to be encountered in the realization (according to the decree n ° 86-210 of August 19, 1986). The many statutory public service missions, for which it is responsible, make it "the technical tool" of the Ministry of Public Works and Since 2006, the CTTP has been ISO 9001 "quality management" certified. He has also integrated the societal approach into his strategic vision. In addition, the CTTP underwent a reorganization in 2012 through the creation of regional offices.
