U Turn Foundation is working for the improvement of rapidly deteriorating environmental conditions. Founded with the objective to restore the environmental balance of Uttarakhand and to spread computer literacy in the interior, UTF has been consistently working for environmental rights, natural resource management, environment education and social education for freedom of choice. UTF’s mission is to educate and motivate people, sensitize policy makers and functionaries; promote programs of the Government as well as the people, to achieve its vision. The U Turn Foundation uses the power of youth to arrest the major drivers of deforestation and environmental destruction. U Turn Foundation recognises that the success of its endeavours lies in grass-root activism. As an organization U Turn Foundation believes in doing the basics right. Our four pillars of undertakings which will guide us undeterred to the right path in the coming years are leadership, focus, research and capacity building.
