Looking Glass Books is a nonprofit organization committed to eradicating racism and eliminating unconscious bias by exposing children to people of diverse backgrounds through literature and interpersonal connections. Vision: Our vision is to develop a platform that distributes children’s books featuring Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) at scale. Through programming and resources, we’d like to expose, educate, and empower children and their families and uplift authors and illustrators of color. Goals: Expose allies and BIPOC to diversity through literature Educate children about people who are different from them Empower BIPOC children by exposing them to heroes who look like them Develop empathy
