In our years in the industry we have experienced the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to buying and selling homes. Most consumers are not aware of the impact that a real estate agent can have on a deal. An inexperienced or under-educated agent can cost their client time, money, the deal and/or legal problems. Unfortunately, the decision of which agent to hire often does not get much more thought than deciding which shirt to wear. All too often, agent choice is made in a very casual way – based on acquaintance or happenstance. We understand how difficult it is to find the right agent. Choosing a great agent requires the same due diligence that you would give to selecting a financial advisor or hiring an employee. That job, done correctly, requires time, effort and expertise.
