Swift Telephone Network Limited is a Nigerian wholly owned fixed land line telephone company licensed by Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). The company commenced operations under the name YOBOC & Co. Ltd. (RC 222457) in the year 2002 and later rebranded to Swift Telephone Network (RC 635680) in 2005. Swift Telephone Network (STN) emerged and stood tall in the earlier years of the telecom boom, when the company created for itself a unique identity as the “Innovative Land Line Telephone company”, which was deservingly earned by pioneering the first pager service in University of Lagos and the first scratch card payment system in Nigeria, that was implemented for West Africa Examination Council (WAEC).
