We use a shared decision making model meaning the patient is the one in control of their healthcare. As providers, we create a plan that includes multiple options, these options are reviewed and the patient selects which they feel will work best for them. When the patients are in control over their healthcare, their outcomes are significantly better than if they have healthcare plans dictated to them.
