The housing system is plagued with a lack of high-quality, affordable, and well-managed rental accommodation. We need to fundamentally change the way we live in our cities in order to respond to continued urbanisation, an increasingly mobile and global workforce, and growing numbers of single and independent millenials. The nuclear family and white picket fence is no longer the way things are trending! If we don't act, we risk fuelling the affordability crisis, increasing the levels of social isolation and loneliness that so many of us are subject to, and continuing to erode our natural habitat due to existing development patterns. We believe that the future of housing is shared and collaborative and that through human-centered design, community, tech, and service the experience of living in the city (and actually feeling like you belong) can be made a lot better than it is.
