The IEEE is the world’s largest non-profit professional organization, with the aim of contributing to the advancement of technology. Currently the organization has more than 400,000 members, spread over five continents and is divided into 10 regions. Detailed information about the IEEE can be found at https://ieee.org. The Portugal Section is part of the Region 8 (Europe, Africa, Middle East and Russia) of the IEEE, has more than 1,500 members, who are part of a universe of professionals from different areas of technology, as well as a growing community of students from different Portuguese Higher Education Institutions.
