WellFit, LLC
www.wellfitusa.comSince 2003 WellFit has been researching and working in corporate wellness. Before corporate wellness became the trend it is today, WellFit was already researching and forecasting workplace place data to predict the need for effective corporate wellness solutions. Owner Emily Drosdik, started in fitness at the young age of 15 years old. She was mentored by a professional sports team athletic trainer. In a short period, Emily was not just exposed to the leading athletic training tools, but was educated and trained in them as well. By sophomore year in high school Emily was managing her high school baseball team’s strength and conditioning program and working with physical therapists at a local rehabilitation and wellness center. One day while Emily was a junior year in high school, it dawned on her how valuable a popular effective athletic screen would be to the workplace and everyday life. It was clearly in interest of athletes, where their career depended on their performance and injury resilience. However, athletes know their bodies well. What about the average Joe, who goes home every day with back pain, and all he does is drink a few beers to ease the discomfort, because he doesn’t know what else to do. What would a simple movement screen do for him? And it was then, WellFit was born. The concept was to bring simple, effective movement screens to improve employees lives and control costs for employers. After working through two college degrees, business designs and development, Emily introduced services in 2011. From city governments, to global consulting firms, and manufacturing companies, WellFit is making its mark in the workplace as a corporate wellness expert. Projects include a customized activity program for a city government, signature corporate wellness consultation for small companies, onsite fitness class design and implementation for municipalities and small companies, virtual deployment of corporate wellness programs across the globe, and more
