Techapella's mission is to provide access to resources that connects the arts to technology programs, performance spaces, and the opportunity to financially support the advancement of art in technology in communities who otherwise would have little to no access. For the past seven years Techapella has been known as an a cappella concert series, showcasing the tech industry's employee-organized a cappella groups. We've grown to an aca-family of over 20 groups, representing notable companies from around the Bay Area's corporate world with groups like The Vocal Network, Googapella and Alphabeat, The Chromotones, inTune, and many more! Can you guess where these groups all hail from? We're striving to grow this musical community within the corporate world, and to reach outside of our four walls to our neighbors. The Arts have a vital place in the Technology world (STEAM, not just STEM!) and we believe that Art is a powerful way to bridge the gap between the corporate worlds and our local communities. Art has the power to humanize, so let's combine the power of Art + Tech to showcase the real people who make up our community, whether you live, work, play in the Bay.
