Over 2000 Psychology students study at the KUL in Belgium. We as the Psychologische Kring represent, facilitate, and entertain this student body. We exist for and consist of KUL psychology students. We make an effort to represent All the needs of every student. In the first place we stand for education representation of the student in important academic and faculty decision-making bodies. On the other hand we also provide our students with tools and facilities to aid our students throughout their university careers. We also aim to provide a variety of relaxing and stimulating activities. With the slogan 'no student left behind' we provide a wide range of activities where the motto 'quality above quantity' applies. We provide lectures and movie nights, but also parties. We also don't lose sight of the first and last year students. For the first year students we provide welcoming activities. For the last year students we organise a trade fair that focuses on 'What to do after graduation?'. There are also sport gatherings and activities for our international students. To conclude we would like to focus on the cooperation with VVKP and EFPSA and other associations who aim to ameliorate the future of the psychologist. In this cooperation our goal is to contribute to the intellectual and social development of our students. Just like the slogan of the KU Leuven says ‘Discover the world, start with yourself’, we start with a positive atmosphere that has to make all the Psychology students feel welcome. We are a group of volunteers and everybody is welcome to join us. Open communication is crucial, let us know what you think! That way we’ll try to provide activities adapted to the interests and needs of our students. Without staff members we wouldn’t be able to do everything we planned, so feel free to join us. Everybody can contribute to our functioning and that is what counts!
