Community Led Homes North Yorkshire & East Riding is the community led housing hub for the region. We are here to: - Promote community led housing and its benefits to all potential stakeholders and deliver activities and workshops to interested communities - Be the central point of information for the development of affordable, sustainable homes, throughout North Yorkshire & East Riding. In turn allowing community led housing to be seen as a realistic, viable and achievable option for housing and communities throughout the region - Be ambassadors for community led housing, locally, regionally and nationally. We take a collaborative approach, working with stakeholders to provide effective solutions for communities to help them deliver affordable homes for local people. We do this through partnership building, connecting people, training and promoting action to build local homes for local people. Individuals and communities across the region can access local 1-2-1 specialist support encompassing all stages of a community led housing project, from community engagement right through to build and live stage. This enables communities to make an informed choice around all forms of community led housing and deliver the scheme that best meets the needs of their community. The hub is currently being delivered in partnership with Community First Yorkshire and Humber & Wolds Rural Action.
