Greater Huntsville Humane Society

www.ghhs.org

The Greater Huntsville Humane Society is a nonprofit animal shelter located in Huntsville, Alabama. GHHS believes in the humane treatment of all animals and strives to create an environment where all animals matter. Through adoptions and fosters, we are able to place homeless pets in our community into forever homes. Through many diverse community assistance programs, we also strive to seek ways to keep animals from being left in shelters in the first place. We have a pet food bank called King's Community Kitchen that offers free pet food and cat litter to low-income families in need and The Pet Wellness Clinic, a partnership with Rocket City Mobile Vet, to provide discounted vet care to those in need. We also believe in the power of education and have a program called Lucky Dog that we present to school-aged children. We are funded solely by generous donations, fundraisers, grants, and sponsorships. We rely heavily on our community for support through volunteering and advocating for our mission. To learn even more about GHHS, visit our website or email us at info@ghhs.org.
