The mission of the California State Guard Maritime Component is to provide a trained and ready organization of maritime professionals under the exclusive control of the Governor, maintaining maritime skills and expertise that enable or augment California Military Department (CMD) operations in coastal, harbor, port, or inland marine environments, and to provide cyber professionals that integrate fully into CMD cyber operations.
