Digiatrics
www.digiatrics.comA key strand of the NHS Digital Strategy and Five Year Forward View is to provide a national digital health infrastructure that complements existing health and social care services and helps reduce demand. The aim is to ensure that anyone with an NHS Number can access highly personalised online healthcare programmes that will help them to manage long-term conditions as well as their general health and wellbeing. A priority is also to enable third sector organisations, medicines manufacturers and other stakeholders to deliver technologies and support directly to patients that will enhance NHS treatments and improve outcomes. The requirement is to have this technology available to all patients. W:ISH™ (by Digiatrics) is a fully mobile communications platform that can channel a wide range of technologies and digital interventions automatically and securely to individuals wherever they are. The system forms part of a patient’s treatment and uses the NHS Number to personalise packages of self-management and support based on prescribed medicines and information from the electronic patient record. New secure channels are also being created that will enable accredited organisations (including Pharma) to reach out, directly engage with and actively ‘push’ highly relevant and patient-centric digital content to targeted groups of end-users. This national project involves working with key clinical specialists, patient groups, medicines manufacturers and NHS organisations to support the development of therapy-specific communication channels, patient self-management programs, adherence and educational apps and tools.
