iSmarticle has developed “State of Mind,” an exciting educational tool for Elementary School students which combines learning with collectable trading cards (think Pokemon), with an interactive website that tracks their card collection and expands on the cards data. Through this challenging and fun system, the students get engaged by enjoying interactive learning on Geography, History, Government, Business, and other Social Study facts about each state in the USA. This tool is currently being piloted for the state of Texas in Houston and has received high praise from teachers, students and parents. The idea is to provide students with incentive for learning geography, history, and economics through fun, interactive trading cards that are tracked on a website while reimbursing schools with some of the profit from card sales at a time when educational funding is being cut.
