Plasticair was founded in 1980 by the late Richard Sixsmith. Richard was trained in England and was involved in the FRP Fan and Scrubber business since 1962. In 1974 he was invited to join the Plastic fabrication division of a Canadian multi-national, and became General Manager in 1976. In 1980, the division closed several cash intensive divisions, including the plastics division. This decision allowed Plasticair to be formed and complete residual contracts. Since that time, Plasticair has seen its sales grow exponentially while maintaining our original client base. Our engineering vision, modern manufacturing techniques and craftsmanship have seen Plastic air expand into new applications worldwide. Plasticair has developed and registered several successful patents, engineered FRP fans that achieve static pressures up to 60" W.G. and over 100,000 CFM. We have also designed a scrubber line that offers removal rates up to 99.9 % of noxious gases and particulate, while being challenged in industries most corrosive and harshest environments.
