The Mississauga Girls Hockey League was created in 1969 to give girls a 'league of their own' to play the game they love. Since then it has grown to thirty six House League teams in six Divisions, twenty three Rep Teams and sixteen Senior Women's Teams. The Mississauga Chiefs host their Annual Christmas Classic Tournament (est. 1981) which attracts teams from all over Ontario and the Northern US.
