The National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI) is envisaged to be India’s first rail and transportation University in the de novo Deemed to be University category. Through industry collaborations, especially with Indian Railways, a unique experiential lab environment is envisioned to be created for those who teach and study at NRTI. In being specifically established to create a resource pool of the best-in-class professionals for the railway and transportation sector, NRTI aspires to be a leader in transportation-focused applied education, training and research, creating graduates and postgraduates who are uniquely qualified to pursue and excel in careers in railways as well as all other transportation-related industries. NRTI offers multi-disciplinary programs designed to cater to the needs of India’s transportation sector. The Institute follows a demand-driven curriculum while aligning with industry priorities. To ensure best-in-class delivery of education, NRTI aims to provide a highly experiential and unique inter-disciplinary pedagogy incorporating the latest technologies, i.e., live classrooms and online programs delivered by high-quality faculty with global exposure.
