Trim Tourism Network are a Community Tourism Network promoting Trim as a destination in the heart of Ireland’s Ancient East. We are also responsible for bringing a range of festivals / events to Trim including our annual Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival and Boyne Adventure Race in August, a weekend Trim Trad Festival at the October Bank Holiday weekend and our annual Classical Christmas Evening to set you in the right mood to start Christmas. We will also be adding a new event to our 2020 list of offerings. In 2019 Trim Tourism Network launched a summer exhibition that runs from May to September at Trim Visitor Centre to honour a remarkable Irish Ambassador ‘ Dot Tubridy’. This event, opened by Courtney Kennedy and Sydney Lawford McKelvy - nieces of the late US President John F Kennedy, promises to be a huge tourist attraction in its own right. Our network also regularly takes part in case studies of best practice and have in 2019 been used as an example of best practice in a European ROOTs project entitled ‘Recognising Cultural & Heritage Opportunities for Tourism SME’s ( ROOTS)’ and will be used as a case study example of best practice at the University of Greenwich. Trim Tourism Network are also part of Adventure Tourism Europe where shared experiences will help to develope and grow the rapidly expanding adventure tourism offerings. We are delighted to work with Momentum Consulting on both these areas to enhance what we do and share our experience for the benefit of our European partners and enhancement of our Network and offerings. We are currently working on areas such as AR & VR , Social, Community, Health and Wellbeing Tourism offerings. We would not exist without the massive support of our greater community , our local businesses, representatives, local authority/ national tourism providers and most importantly our volunteers who have pledged massive support in the network to deliver.
