The Baylor Lariat is the award-winning student newspaper of Baylor University. It was named Best Student Newspaper in Texas in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. The Lariat is a laboratory for aspiring journalists and offers an educational experience not gained in the classroom. The publication is moving toward an online-first mentality, understanding that social media and the Web are the future of news.
