The vision Nene Valley Crematorium is the result of the Borough Council of Wellingborough’s vision to invest taxpayers’ money into a valuable service for the local community and beyond, which will eliminate the long road journeys to crematoria in other districts. It was also our wish to reduce the waiting times for cremation during busy periods, which adds to the burden of those who are grieving. We visualised a new and beautiful building that will serve as a beacon of excellence for the people of Wellingborough and wider community. The building has been designed to reflect light and an airy interior, with views over open countryside. It is intended to provide a peaceful atmosphere, uplifting the spirits of those who enter. The focus of the service we offer is choice: choice of time, choice of music, choice of memorials; excellent care and dedication come as standard. We recognise that funerals are deeply emotional and the importance of getting everything right, and right first time, is at the forefront of our minds. We endeavour to create gardens of tranquillity, which will commemorate the lives of those who have been cremated. The objective is to offer long-term comfort for the presently bereaved and for generations of families into the future.
