PortugalFoods is an association created in 2008 and formed by companies, entities from the national scientific and technological system and by regional and national entities that represent the various subsectors that make up the Portuguese agrofood sector. PortugalFoods is a “place” where these entities establish win-win relations with the end goal of producing and sharing knowledge in support of innovation and competitiveness. PortugalFoods is the "umbrella" brand of the Portuguese agrofood sector promoted by the AgroFood Competitiveness and Technology Centre. The image must be one of uniqueness and excellence, promoting Portugal, its products, brands and companies with modernity and suited to international markets. PortugalFoods, as a leader of the Portuguese Agrofood Cluster, is recognized throughout the industry, the Portuguese Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, and Ministry of Planning and Infrastructure as the main intermediary and developer of the Portuguese agrofood sector.
