Habitat for Humanity of Cleveland
www.habitatofcleveland.orgHabitat for Humanity of Cleveland seeks to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. Many families in Bradley County are in need of decent and affordable housing as the result of overcrowding, homelessness, unsafe living environments, structural damage, or a variety of other needs. Habitat provides long-term impact that changes the lives of families in Bradley County forever. Habitat homeowners partner with Habitat for Humanity through sweat equity hours, completing homeowner education courses and paying a zero-percent interest mortgage on their home. By offering families a hand-up rather than a hand-out, Habitat empowers them to build better lives which results in stronger communities. How can you get involved? Habitat believes donors are responsible for laying the foundation for change in the community. Without the generous donations from local businesses, organizations and individuals, Habitat of Cleveland would not be able to build and repair homes. The Habitat for Humanity ReStore offers community members the opportunity to shop for the cause. Because of the generous donations from the community, the ReStore is able to fund the foundation of every home Habitat of Cleveland builds. None of this would be made possible without Habitat volunteers—the hands and feet of Christ. Habitat volunteers have the opportunity to be a part of the life-changing process that is homeownership, a process which offers hope.
