Clean Water Association
www.cleanwaterassociation.comThe Clean Water Association is a coalition of stakeholders that seek to improve and protect our waterways in Lake Country. Its purpose is to bring the community together to raise funds, awareness and energy to advance the mission of clean waterways so that generations to come will be able to enjoy our lakes and rivers as we do today. The Clean Water Association will engage and educate the community by: * Offering lake education to residents to raise the level of understanding of the issues and solutions critical to lake clean up success. * Engaging citizen volunteers in water quality monitoring. It is vital to know where we are and how we're doing in the process. * Advancing urban actions to reduce nutrient runoff from construction erosion and leaves. * Working collaboratively with farmers to reduce runoff that comes from farm fields by focusing on better land conservation and nutrient practices. * Hosting fundraising events that are a critical component to our annual budget, giving local businesses a way to contribute and be recognized for their support. Our organization is in the process of assembling key stakeholders to help steer the lake improvement process. We are also seeking individual and corporate support to help us build staff to implement the programs and projects that are needed to save our waterways. We need your help!
