Montana Microbial Products (MMP) has developed a superior aquaculture protein derived from barley. Barley Protein Concentrate or BPC in independent feed trials has successfully replaced fishmeal and shown significant competitive advantages over other plant base proteins. Feed trials were conducted with a variety of fish species. BPC is US FDA approved with AAFCO definition for use in aquaculture feeds and shown to be nutritionally equivalent to fishmeal in research and commercial scale feeding trials in Trout, Atlantic salmon, Coho salmon, Red drum, Artic Char, Sea Bream, and Cobia.
