The Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) is the national institution for imparting capital market education, training, and conduct international standard research and publications in the relevant fields. The Institute is an entity of the Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. BICM is an affiliated institute of the University of Dhaka and offers the first and only specialized master's program on capital market. The institute is located at the heart of Capital City Dhaka near the Paltan Intersection and close to the Financial District of Motijheel. The institute aims to equip the stakeholders of the Capital Market with updated knowledge about the Capital Market through a number of delivery outlets viz. Investor Awareness Training, which is held usually on every Saturday, Training of Specialized topics related to the Capital Market like Technical Analysis, Portfolio Management, Analysis and Interpretation of Financial Statements, Securities Laws, Equity Valuation, IAS and IFRS etc., and it offers a signature one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Capital Market (PGDCM) which is one of its kind in Bangladesh. The institute has a dedicate pool of qualified faculty members, some of them with terminal degrees from abroad. The institute has a rich library with 11,000+ original titles on business, finance, business law, accounting, management, business administration, etc. The institute also subscribes to reputed journals and magazines related to the capital market.
