As members of the Rice community, the Rice Chinese Students and Scholars Association (RCSSA) is a students and scholars organization with a history of more than ten years. It serves Chinese students and scholars at Rice University, facilitates the communication among the Chinese students and scholars at Rice University, enriches the school lives of the Rice community members and promotes the Chinese culture to the Rice community. Every year, RCSSA arranges new student hospitality program, including airport pick-up, shopping ride and welcome orientation, organizes galas at Mid-autumn and Spring festivals as well as other recreational (e.g. picnic, BBQ, Chinese Voice of Rice, theater shows) and sport activities. In addition, RCSSA helps Chinese in Rice for career developments by organizing presentations and distributing job information in various fields. Furthermore, RCSSA facilitates the communication between Chinese community at Rice and the administration of Rice University. Last but not least, RCSSA takes the responsibility to let Rice community know more about Chinese culture by cooperating with GSA and OISS.
