EPD Australasia
www.epd-australasia.comEPD Australasia registers and publishes independently verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for businesses operating in Australia and New Zealand. In partnership with The International EPD System, EPDs are a standardised and transparent way of communicating a range of environmental impacts of goods and services. All data presented in an EPD is determined using a standardised Life Cycle Assessment methodology against Product Category Rules (PCR), allowing readers to readily interpret the environmental performance of a product or service. The Australasian EPD Programme is an operator for type III environmental declarations according to ISO 14025, the General Programme Instructions of the International EPD® System and an Australasian Regional Annex. EPDs for construction products registered with the Programme are verified to EN 15804. This arrangement and the access it provides to the PCRs developed by the International EPD System provides a credible, harmonised and efficient global platform for communicating environmental information. The Programme is a joint venture of the Life Cycle Association of New Zealand and The Australian Life Cycle Assessment Society and operates as a non-profit organisation.
