MISSION: HIREDTexas assists job seekers in Central Texas find employment through job search assistance, peer support, and skills development. Job Search Assistance: We provide group and individual support in learning about local and internet job seeker resources. Groups focus on learning or improving job search skills and improving marketing materials. In a safe environment, interviewing skills are sharpened, resumes are brought into sharp focus, and confidence is built. Additionally, HIREDTexas Job Club provides group and individual peer guidance and support in creating a strategy for the next steps in your career transition. Peer Support: Through our small group forums we offer support developing individual skills and marketing materials. Career Action Teams offer group support in a targeted job search format with others seeking positions at a similar level who will be facing similar issues. Talent Development: It is our goal to provide information on local and internet resources, to provide free computer skills classes, job search skill forums and presentations to improve our constituents’ marketability. Programs, classes, and forums may change over time to better meet the needs of HIREDTexas constituents. Area Resources: We maintain a list of resources for career and salary information, job boards and staffing agencies, networking opportunities, financial support, health care, dental and vision care, prescription assistance, and low/no cost education.
