The main activities of One-sixone are: - Advice: choice of technologies; - Development of li-ion cell in co-contracting: design choice, prototype manufacturing, performance evaluation and validation, industrialization and product qualification; - Battery developments: choice of design, prototyping, performance evaluation and validation, industrialisation and product qualification; - Sourcing: auditing and selection of suppliers, purchasing and monitoring quality of cell and batteries, monitoring and management of obsolescence of materials in order to guarantee performance; Its activities are based on a two-pronged approach: Top down and Bottom up. - Top down with a work on the identification of the needs of the application and the definition of the requirements and specifications of the battery system and the key subsystem that is the cell; - Bottom-up or push technology with work on new technologies or electrochemistry of cell. One-sixone’s ambition is to become a major player in the development and manufacture of battery systems for atypical and demanding applications.
