When gaining alighnment and control, the phrase ‘it’s lonely at the top’ has more significance to the C-suite than any other collection of roles. We know there are very few people to call on in times of need because we have been there. When challenging decisions need to be made and participation from senior leaders is required, often personal ambition or concern for job security cloud feedback and input. While well intended, this reaction is simply due to the natural human behavior responses to change. As experienced C-Suite professionals, we have been in those seats where we have either not been able to get unbiased input or brainstorm potential solutions.
