Nena is a career counselor and only a career counselor, giving her greater skill and further depth in working with career related issues – she knows what it truly takes to find a satisfying career. Nena owns her own private career counseling practice and specializes in working specifically with career changers and people who are in career transition. She helps her clients explore careers that match their skills, interests and values. She does this by helping them identify their own potential, hone and focus their skills, then discover jobs that are a good fit for who they are and the situations they are in. Nena tries to make the job search less overwhelming by helping her clients focus and develop a “career identity” which enables them to more readily identify and grab opportunities. Nena has worked for the Office of the Governor of Colorado, NASA, a vegetarian cooking school, and two of the top colleges in the country. She has worked with companies ranging from large not-for-profits to the top investment banks and worked with clients ranging from students and recent grads to Ph.D.s and people with over forty years of work experience. Despite her wealth of knowledge and expertise, Nena has been described as very approachable and even mellow and is a deeply compassionate person.
