AP6 is part of the Swedish public pension system and the only AP-fund with a 100 percent focus on unlisted assets. AP6 specializes in private equity through a combination of fund commitments and direct investments in minority. AP6 is an active and selective LP within buyout, venture and secondary investments. Sustainability is an integral part of AP6's investing activities and value creation. AP6 is a closed fund, there are no inflows or outflows to the pension system. AP6 covers its own costs and the profits from its investments are continually reinvested. At the inception, in 1996, AP6 received SEK 10.4 billion. At year-end 2018, the original capital had grown to SEK 34.7 billion.
