We have achieved land redesignation (planning permission) for the development. The multi-part Water Licence application has been submitted, AENV has been busy with emergency applications due to flooding in Calgary and other parts of southern Alberta. As we are a non-emergency application ours needed to go on the back burner for a while but we look forward to updates in a few weeks. Chinook Ridge has submitted applications to develop a 21 room boutique hotel (country motif), banquet hall to seat 250 guests, his and her spas, snack bar, and a 9-hole walking golf course, 30 stall RV Park and a 9-hole Connections Course. It will also offer complimentary winter uses like cross country ski trails, outdoor skating ponds, biking, blading trails, and other off-season pursuits. A major focus will be on hosting corporate events, charitable events, weddings, and family reunions where the 'client' will have exclusive use of the facilities for their guests/clients/employees for a specific period of time - think 'closed gate event facility' and you'll get the picture. Between booked 'events' we will have generous opportunities for concerts, theme dinners, wine tastings, cooking lessons, etc. We are only 25 minutes NW of Calgary near the hamlet of Bottrell, Alberta. We look forward to starting construction on both the course and the hotel at the same time once all regulations have been satisfied.
