Vanderbilt University Risk, Reliability, and Resilience Group
www.reliability-studies.vanderbilt.eduVU RRR research group is led by Prof. Sankaran Mahadevan, and currently includes 12 graduate students, 2 post-doctoral scholars, and a research assistant professor. Our research interests include risk and reliability methods, uncertainty quantification, machine learning, optimization under uncertainty, diagnostics and prognostics, and digital twins. We are currently developing these methods for a broad range of applications including additive manufacturing, air transportation system safety, structural health monitoring, aircraft and rotorcraft components, power grid systems, pipeline safety, and patient care. Our research is currently funded by NASA, NIST, DOE (ARPA-E), DOE National Labs (Sandia, Idaho), DOT (PHMSA), HHS (AHRQ), ARL, ABS and Rolls Royce.
