Up Rising Stars Inc. a family run, 501c3 non- profit organization (Tax ID: 45-3358664) operated by Danielle Worth, Darcell Johnson, and Keiana Worth. This organization was founded in September, 2011 to give back to the community, to be able to assist students achieve their dreams. As a family we believe that everyone is a rising star. Up Rising Stars Inc. gives out scholarships to deserving high school students that plan on attending college. Since 2011 we have given out 7 scholarships totaling approximately $6,000 and we have received 365 applications from all the 21 counties in New Jersey & the borough of Harlem. We want our youth to know that we care and are willing to provide resources so their dreams can become a reality. The name of our scholarship is called "The Phillip Dorsey Scholarship Award" and it is in loving memory of Phillip Dorsey, (April 29, 1951- January 22, 2003) who was Keiana Worth's father and Danielle Worth's step-father. Phillip Dorsey was a man who cared about people and helping others and particularly our youth. Anyone that knew him loved his commitment to helping someone in need. We are happy to carry on his legacy by be helping individuals achieve their dreams as they pursue a higher education by attending college.
