Case Matrix Network
www.casematrixnetwork.orgThe Case Matrix Network (CMN) provides knowledge-transfer and capacity development services to national and international actors in the fields of international criminal and human rights law. We seek to empower those working to provide criminal accountability for violations of core international crimes and serious human rights violations, by providing access to legal information, legal expertise and knowledge tools. We do this through: (1) ICC Legal Tools Project: legal-tools.org The CMN supports the ICC through the Legal Tools Project by providing pro-bono advisers who conduct training in the use of three tools: o Case Matrix Application o Case Matrix Digests o ICC Legal Tools Database (2) CMN International Criminal Justice Toolkits Project: blog.casematrixnetwork.org/toolkits/ The CMN-ICJ Toolkits Project supports legal work, policy and advocacy concerning core international crimes and serious human rights violations in four thematic areas: o Investigation and Fact-Finding o Case Mapping, Selection and Prioritisation o Case Analysis Toolkit o Ratification, Implementation and Cooperation The Toolkits will be customised to the specific legal, linguistic and resource needs of seven target countries - Mexico, Georgia, Colombia, DRC, Indonesia, Mongolia and Sierra Leone. The Project is implemented with the University of Nottingham Human Rights Law Centre and the Central and Eastern European Initiative for International Criminal Law and Human Rights and is funded by the European Union and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2013-2016). (3) CMN Knowledge Hub: This is a repository of CMN’s online services, which will be supplemented by customised databases, features, publications and services. The CMN is a department of the Centre for International Law Research and Policy, which is an international not for profit organisation, registered in Belgium.
