STUDIOCANAL, a subsidiary of the CANAL+ Group, is one of Europe's leading companies in the market for production, acquisition, distribution and sales of international feature films and TV series. It operates simultaneously in 3 main European territories - France, the UK and Germany - as well as in Australia and New Zealand. STUDIOCANAL owns one of the most important catalogues in the world, containing more than 5000 international titles. The company is responsible for their custody as well as restoration. It also manages the sales of rights to those films, notably for remakes. Alongside its film activity, STUDIOCANAL developed the production of TV series, thanks to the acquisition of Tandem Communications, a German leading company in the market of production and sales of international series, as well as the British RED Production Company, specializing in British quality TV series. STUDIOCANAL recently associated with Danish partners to create a Scandinavian production company called SAM.
